Secoin with 20-year journey to enter Japanese market

Recalling this day in 1989, exactly 20 years ago, Mr. Dinh Hong Ky - the chairman of Secoin shared: “At that time, Secoin just took over the factory in Chuong My, Ha Tay from a manufacturer for non-burnt construction material with 100% Japanese capital. Secoin board of management at that time were very worried because the non-burnt construction materials market in Vietnam was not developed, and even enterprises with 100% Japanese capital invested in Vietnam had to withdraw. With Secoin, selling products in the domestic market is still very hard, let alone export. However, everything seems to happen relating to the word “Fate’. A Japanese partner came to meet and proposed Secoin to produce a new artistic tile model - "random stone" according to the requirements of Japanese market. There are a lot of difficulties, challenges for us but with our passion and determination we had successfully completed the requirement given by Japanese partner. It is gratifying that the first batch of products exported to the sunrise country had been welcomed by the market, from then on, every year, hundreds containers of Secoin artistic tiles are regularly exported to this “most difficult" market

Currently, in addition to providing for construction projects, the categories of Secoin artistic tiles are sold quite a lot at Japan's DIY Home Center chain. Quality and stability are still the factors that Japanese people put on top, but besides, developing new models is also indispensable criterion. Therefore, Secoin always has to improve and renew itself in the direction of "Always creating new things!", Creating competitiveness in Japanese market against competitors such as Chinese, Korean enterprises, ...

During 20 years of exporting to Japan, Secoin "benefited" a lot. We do not imply economic benefits but things are far deeper than that, we learned a lot from our partners - Japanese friends. Caution, certainty, careful thinking in all things, putting prestige first, professional behavior in business, ... - that are what we learned to create a foundation that help Secoin confidently reach out to other markets in the world.
