Secoin honored - Green Enterprise of Ho Chi Minh City 2024
On the evening of August 29 at Rex Hotel, 141 Nguyen Hue, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City Business Association and Saigon Giai Phong Newspaper jointly organized the Ceremony to honor and award the title "Green Enterprise of Ho Chi Minh City in 2024". The event is part of a series of activities leading up to the 5th City Economic Forum taking place from September 24 to September 27, 2024 with the theme "Industrial transformation, a new driving force for sustainable development of Ho Chi Minh City."
Enhancing the position of Vietnamese enterprises towards green and sustainable development in line with the general development trend of the world is extremely urgent, which is also the reason why the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has chaired and assigned the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association to organize the Selection and Awarding of the title "Green Enterprise of Ho Chi Minh City" of 2024. Secoin is honored to be one of 98 Enterprises honored at the Award Ceremony of the Green Enterprise of Ho Chi Minh City in 2024.
The award aims to honor businesses that do not cause negative impacts on the local environment, community or economy, care about protecting environmental resources, continuously improve their approach to sustainability and minimize environmental impacts, operate responsibly towards the environment and the community, focus on implementing rules and practices that benefit employees and the community; at the same time, support businesses to promote, improve competitiveness, and integrate into the international economy.

"Ho Chi Minh City Green Enterprise" was first launched in 2023 with the aim of honoring and encouraging businesses to comply with regulations on waste treatment arising in the production and business process, and to conduct research and produce environmentally friendly products.
Businesses have demonstrated strong commitment and implemented practical actions in strictly complying with environmental standards, using resources efficiently and developing green initiatives.
The Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Award will be a green passport for businesses to reach out to the world, connecting with the global business community.
The “Ho Chi Minh City Green Business” Award will continue to spread throughout the business community to move towards the national goal of Net Zero being environmentally friendly; enhancing the responsibility of businesses in protecting the environment, aiming for sustainable growth and development; contributing to supporting businesses to promote, improve competitiveness, and integrate into the international economy.
The “Ho Chi Minh City Green Business” Award will continue to spread throughout the business community to move towards the national goal of Net Zero being environmentally friendly; enhancing the responsibility of businesses in protecting the environment, aiming for sustainable growth and development; contributing to supporting businesses to promote, improve competitiveness, and integrate into the international economy.
Promoting the results achieved within the framework of the Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum 2024, the Organizing Committee has selected and awarded the title of Ho Chi Minh City Green Enterprise 2024. Of which, there are 53 enterprises in the field of production and business and 45 enterprises in the fields of trade - services, real estate, with the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, this event will be a bridge for Enterprises to build a greener future together, towards sustainable development in the future.
